Short bargaining session on June 26; next session is July 6

The Faculty and Administration bargaining teams met today for the first time since May 31. The short session included reviewing the list of proposals that are not yet resolved, and confirming the schedule for bargaining sessions during the next two weeks.

The teams were originally scheduled to meet on June 27 and 28, but these sessions were cancelled because of conflicts for the administration team. Bargaining will resume on Thursday, July 6.

The administration team said they expect to present a response to the Faculty Compensation proposal at the July 6 session.

Faculty team member Julie McLaughlin said, “We look forward to the administration’s response and more discussion of our proposals for Compensation and Workload when we resume bargaining next week.”

The Faculty Team also met today with AAUP officers, and the team continues to appreciate the generous contributions of tasty food prepared by faculty colleagues.

Members of the Faculty bargaining unit are invited to enjoy pizza and conversation at the “Solidarity and a Slice” gathering on June 27, from 2 to 3:30 p.m., in Main 372. Additional information was sent to faculty via email.
