AAUP and Administration reached tentative agreement for a new contract on Aug. 1

On August 1, about 5 p.m., the Faculty and Administration Bargaining Teams reached a tentative agreement for a new 3-year contract.

The tentative agreement was achieved after more than 7 hours of negotiations, with Mediator Joe Wilson in attendance.

The Faculty Bargaining Team met with AAUP Officers to discuss the tentative agreement.

Faculty Bargaining Team Co-leader Greg Klein said, “These were exceptionally challenging negotiations, but the AAUP Officers and Bargaining Team will be presenting to our members a tentative agreement that we believe accomplishes many of the goals that we know are important to our faculty.”

AAUP Chapter members (faculty members who pay AAUP dues) will have opportunities during the next two weeks to review the details and ask questions before voting on the tentative agreement.

Faculty members should check their Cincinnati State email for additional information from AAUP about the schedule for information sessions and voting.

The College Board of Trustees is expected to vote on the tentative agreement at their meeting scheduled for Aug. 22.
