AAUP Negotiations Update: Members are voting on Unit 1 Tentative Agreement
On Monday, July 30, the Faculty and Administration Bargaining Teams reached a Tentative Agreement for a new AAUP Unit 1 contract.
The tentative agreement was achieved after 7 hours of negotiations on Monday.
- The Faculty Bargaining Team presented the details of the tentative agreement to the AAUP Executive Committee at a morning meeting on Tuesday, July 31, and the officers endorsed the Tentative Agreement.
- AAUP Chapter members were briefed and began voting on the Tentative Agreement in the afternoon on July 31, at the “Beer & Bargaining Update.” Additional voting hours were available on Wednesday, Aug. 1.
Another briefing and voting session for AAUP Chapter members will be held Monday, Aug. 6, from 10 a.m. to noon. This meeting is expected to take place in the Conference Center, and members will receive email to confirm the location.
- Additional opportunities to vote on the Tentative Agreement will be available Tuesday, Aug. 7, and Wednesday, Aug. 8, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day, in the AAUP Office (Main 124).
