AAUP Negotiations Update for July 25, 2018

The tenth negotiation session for a new Unit 1 contract took place Wednesday, July 25, and lasted about 90 minutes.

Faculty Team members said although the session was relatively short, it included meaningful discussion of some key contract provisions.

Faculty Team member Jason Caudill said, “The Administration team members seemed to be listening carefully as we explained faculty concerns. We hope their responses will show that they understand and respect those concerns.”

Faculty Team member Tom Burns said, “We still hope we can resolve this contract at the bargaining table. Our team is ready to do a lot more work this week to get closer to a settlement that both sides can live with.”

Bargaining sessions are scheduled for Thursday, July 26, and Friday, July 27.
