New AAUP contract agreement is approved by CState Board of Trustees after affirmation by Faculty
The Cincinnati State Board of Trustees unanimously affirmed the new 2-year contract agreement with Cincinnati State AAUP during a special Board meeting on Sep. 9, 2021.
The members of the AAUP Chapter affirmed the contract agreement by a count of 112-6 in voting held during the week of Aug. 30. Nearly 90% of the eligible Chapter members participated in voting on the agreement.
The contract is effective immediately and will continue until the end of the academic year in August 2023.
Trustee Chairperson George Vincent said the Board appreciated the “hard work to get this agreement done” and President Monica Posey thanked the Faculty and Administration Bargaining Teams for their efforts leading to the new contract agreement.
Copies of the complete new contract will be made available to members of the AAUP Bargaining Unit within a few weeks. AAUP also will provide updates to faculty regarding implementation of the provisions of the new agreement.
AAUP bargaining unit members with questions should contact Cincinnati State AAUP Chapter President Pam Ecker or AAUP Contract Compliance Officer Greg Klein.
Pam thanked the faculty for their involvement and support throughout the contract negotiation process.
