AAUP Chapter members attend “Beverages & Bargaining” Update on July 8 & 12
Nearly 100 members of the Cincinnati State AAUP Chapter attended “Beverages and Bargaining” updates on July 8 in the Clifton Campus Conference Center or on July 12 in virtual format.
Chapter President Pam Ecker and Faculty Chief Negotiator Greg Klein provided information about contract negotiations sessions held in May and June, and answered questions from members about bargaining issues and processes.
Other updates for members including announcing the recipients of the AAUP Student Scholarships for 2021. The students receiving scholarships of $1,000 each are:
- Talia Baily, who is completing the degree in Computer Network Engineering Tech – Cyber Security as well as the Leadership Certificate.
- Amanda Wittwer, who is completing a degree in Computer Programming & Database Management.
In-person meeting attendees received an AAUP insulated “lunch & snack sack” and could choose from several beverages and snacks. Those who attended the remote meeting, and Chapter members who were unable to attend, will receive their cooler (and snacks) later this summer, delivered to campus offices.
The next bargaining session is scheduled for July 15.
